Muhammad Najmi Mansor

Muhammad Najmi Mansor (“Muhammad Najmi”) serves as a Director of MAS Awana Services Sdn Bhd.

Najmi was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of AMAL by Malaysia Airlines, the Umrah and pilgrimage services arm under Malaysia Airlines Berhad, in March 2021. In this role, he oversees operational planning and commercial initiatives aimed at strengthening the airline’s presence in the growing Hajj and Umrah travel marketacross Southeast Asia and the Middle East.

Prior to this appointment, Najmi served as the Head of Group Finance Business Partners and Corporate Planning for the Malaysia Aviation Group. He also previously served AMAL by Malaysia Airlines as Chief Financial Officer from 2017 to 2019, where he played a key role in establishing the financial and operational framework of the airline’s dedicated pilgrimage services business.

Najmi, a Certified Practising Accountant (ASCPA), has held various management responsibilities since joining Malaysia Airlines in 2004. Throughout his career with the airline, he has been involved in several strategic initiatives including the Business Turnaround Plan, the establishment of the new company structure including Hijrah Biru Sdn Bhd (AMAL by Malaysia Airlines), financial assessments for aircraft acquisitions, route rationalisation, and systems implementation projects.

As a Director of MAS Awana Services Sdn Bhd, he contributes to the company’s strategic governance, operational oversight, and long-term growth initiatives, aligning the board’s direction with the organisation’s broader aviation and services ecosystem.
