Philip See Yew Jin

Philip is the Chairman of the Board of MasAwana Sdn Bhd.

Philip was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer, Loyalty & Travel Solutions of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) in January 2023, and concurrently serves as the Group Chief Sustainability Officer of Malaysia Aviation Group. He brings extensive experience in airline strategy, business transformation, sustainability, and financial analysis across the aviation and corporate sectors.

Prior to his current role, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Firefly, a wholly-owned subsidiary of MAG, since January 2019, where he played a key role in leading the airline’s business and operational direction within the Group.
Philip joined Malaysia Airlines as Head of Strategy and Network. He is no stranger to the Group, having previously served in the Turnaround Management Office (TMO) in 2004, where he was responsible for implementing the Business Turnaround Plan and, subsequently, the Business Transformation Plan. He left the airline in 2010 and later rejoined Malaysia Airlines in 2015.

Before joining Malaysia Airlines in 2004, Philip was with Deutsche Bank as a Financial Analyst in its London office, focusing on equity and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) markets in the Asia Pacific region. He was also a consultant with Arthur D. Little before joining the airline.

Philip holds a First Class Honours degree in Chemical Engineering (MEng) from Imperial College London, United Kingdom.
