HEAD PENANG STATION
Syed Fairul Hizam Syed Mahaya has served as the Head of Penang Station at Penang International Airport since October 16, 2023. He is equipped with extensive regional operational expertise. With his background in Mechanical Engineering from SMV Likas Kota Kinabalu (1990/91) and over a 28-year career in airline catering with MAS Catering, LSG Skychef, and Brahims SATS Food Catering, he has acquired expertise in inventory control, cost management of raw materials, and order forecasting, which are critical for efficient supply chain operations. His key achievement includes optimizing warehouse processes and enhancing operational efficiency.
He is also well versed with workplace dynamics and employee relations, hence is well equipped in fostering a collaborative work environment. Syed’s proactive problem-solving approach, leadership abilities, and commitment to continuously improve the regional operational excellence, makes him a valuable asset to the Penang Station team.
