Fazura Azhar brings over 9 years of extensive experience in the airline catering industry with MAS Awana Services Sdn. Bhd., complemented by her foundational career in financial services. She began her professional journey at Ambank Group, where she worked from 2008 to 2011 in the Liquidity Risk Management Department. During this time, she played a key role in developing and enhancing the bank’s Interest Rate Risk and Liquidity Risk Management Frameworks, ensuring effective risk management according to international standards.
Her academic background, holding a Bachelor of Sciences in Math, Operational Research, Statistics, and Economics (MORSE) from the University of Warwick, UK, has been instrumental in shaping her analytical and problem-solving capabilities. This foundation has empowered her to apply quantitative analysis, data-driven decision-making, and strategic planning in both the financial and airline catering sectors. In her current role as Head of the Project Management Office (PMO) at MAS Awana, she has successfully established the PMO department, streamlined operations, and led key business expansion projects. Previously, as Head of Business Development, Fazura drove initiatives that diversified the company’s services into non-aviation catering and expanded inflight meal catering operations, further demonstrating her leadership and strategic acumen. Her expertise in project management, financial analysis, and leadership makes her a key contributor to MAS Awana’s continued success.
