CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD

 

Mohd Nadziruddin Mohd Basri, who was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Aviation Services (MAG) in January 2023, brings over 20 years of extensive experience in airline operations, investment, and finance. Prior to this role, he served as the CEO of AeroDarat Services Sdn Bhd, the ground handling arm of Malaysia Aviation Group, since September 2015. His leadership has been instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency and driving strategic growth initiatives.

Nadzir’s journey with the airline began in late 2013 as Chief Financial Officer, where he demonstrated exceptional financial management skills. He was later appointed Chief Restructuring Officer in 2014, successfully leading the Restructuring Management Office. His tenure also includes pivotal roles as General Manager, Project Management and Assurance (2001-2004), and Senior General Manager, Airport Operations (2005-2007), showcasing his comprehensive operational expertise.

A graduate of the London School of Economics with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Accounting and Finance, Nadzir is also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA). He commenced his career with Arthur Andersen, later known as Ernst & Young, where he honed his financial and strategic planning skills.

As Nadzir transitions to MAS Awana, his robust financial and operational acumen will be critical in steering the company towards a prosperous future. His strategic vision and ability to optimize business processes are set to enhance MAS Awana’s market position, driving growth and ensuring sustainable success.
